MOMAD Madrid Trade Show - 6-8 February 2020
When sourcing new brands to include in your next season collection, it’s often tempting to stick to your local fashion trade shows in order to save on travel time and costs, however it may be worth breaking out of your routine and going a little further afield. Coming up next month, IFEMA presents MOMAD Madrid, and with discount flight options still available you may be able to source new suppliers who are relatively unknown to your local market – always a bonus when you’re looking to stand out from the crowd.
MOMAD (a portmanteau of the words Moda (fashion) and Madrid) will be showcasing over 800 brands from Spain and throughout the world from 6-8 February – the new Thursday start proving to be popular among buyers and brands alike – many make the most of the first day to plan networking and commercial meetings over the rest of the weekend, creating a more relaxed atmosphere. MOMAD also offers a meeting service in which you can register to arrange meetings with brands online - perfect for those buyers who have a lot to fit in.
Running simultaneously is the Shoesroom by MOMAD exhibition – bringing together up-and-coming footwear designers and brands, and supporting the Spanish leather industry which is respected for its quality worldwide.
IFEMA has also coordinated the popular Bisutex exhibition (for costume jewellery and accessories), Madrid Joya (displaying high-end jewellery and watch brands), and Intergift (dedicated to gifts and homeware). All three of these shows take place from 6-9 February, allowing you an extra day to fit in every last exhibit.
Spain’s fashion scene is on the rise, and brands are looking to expand their reach to international buyers, so why not take advantage and combine your fashion sourcing with a trip to Spain’s historic capital?
